SF - last weekend

On Saturday, Neil and Stacie flew in, and we met them at the SF Zoo along with a college friend of Stacie and her family. She has two small kids as well (a little younger than the boys), so it worked out well that we got to share the day at the zoo with them all...though it was a bit cold and windy!! The zoo was much nicer than I had hoped (in all my research, I never saw the zoo mentioned as a must-see!).
Sunday - we went to Alcatraz which involves a boat trip to and from the island AND a tour of the island and prison. It was DEFINITELY worthwhile! Everyone enjoyed it. The boys did the audio tour, and it was super easy for them to follow. Since Alcatraz is part of the state park system, they also had a Junior Ranger program that was entertaining and educational.
We had an early dinner w/N&S after Alcatraz and then said our goodbyes, headed to our apartment to pack. The boys and I left to fly home early Monday morning - David stayed to work that week and then headed home Friday.

It was a great trip. We sampled the city and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Hope you enjoyed the photo tour!!
