Field Trip & Weekend

I was lucky enough to be invited to Ethan's field trip on Friday to Cagles Dairy Farm. The entire Kindergarten went, and normally they just take the teacher and helper, but the helpers had to stay at the school to proctor the CRCT testing, so the room parent got invited!!! AND since I wasn't working, I got to go. It was so much fun! I have taken the boys to Cagles in the past when they were smaller, but it is such a fun place! If you haven't gone and live in GA, then GO! Fun for all ages!

We had a great weekend...having some lovely weather assuming you aren't too bothered by allergies or the yellow coating on everything! We got to spin class on Saturday am at the Y, then we visited the Whitehurst family in their new home, and is it ever AWESOME! They are pretty close to us still (we were 2 miles apart before, lived together in college AND grew up across the street from each other, so by comparison, they are far away, but still very close!) Then we had a great 40th birthday party in Alpharetta that evening which was a blast. The kids were exhausted and fell asleep on the way home! On a side note: Can't believe that we are in/entering an era where our friends are turning (and some over already!) 40!!! Not too many more years for yours truly!! Oh well, not to dwell on that...I am as old as I feel (which is way more than 40 some days - physically at least...I am cursed to feel 20 emotionally forever!)

On Sunday, we went for a nice bike ride on the Silver Comet Trail - our first since last fall! We just did 8.5 miles due to time...we stopped at the picnic tables at the half way point and had a picnic lunch...but then we had to be at t-ball; Ryan's 2nd game. He loves it, and it is REALLY fun to watch the little kids play! They don't quite know what to do, but they have fun - falling on the ball, tagging each other, they all run after the ball into the outfield (even the runner sometimes!) and no one is left in field! I was laughing so hard!!!

After T-ball, did some laundry while David went for a much needed massage and then we grilled out turkey burgers for dinner. It was a GREAT weekend, and we were sorry to see it end!
