Here's our tree - holiday neutral to coordinate with Hanukkah...I just love the silver and blue decorations anyway, and snowmans are our favorite! Notice our Elf on the Shelf right in the middle of our tree....we got him this year...his name is Lucious, but we call him Luke (or Luke Goldfish if you ask Ryan). He has been VERY helpful this year as he has been watching the boys' behavior and reporting to Santa nightly!

This is the moment Ethan and Ryan first saw their Santa gifts! Love that look of shock and awe - that's the pay off for me :) Feels like a credit card commercial.... new pair of crocs $25, wrapping paper $2, new toy $30, the look on your chidren's faces on Christmas morning, priceless!
Reading Santa's note to Ryan....so, all Ryan has been asking for from Santa was a batman umbrella. I think I have mentioned the whole dilemma here already, but it was almost impossible to located a batman umbrella (thank you e-bay! - another commercial!)...but it didn't get here in time thanks to the overworked postal system. So, Santa drafted the following note to Ryan - and Ethan read the note to him:
And here are the boys dressed for the day...just before getting to all the presents under the tree this afternoon...I have to say, they were amazingly patient and waited until 4pm without even asking once to open them early....it really pays off to set the expectations...they knew our plan.
Finally, took this cute shot of Ryan the other day at Scottish Rite - they have amazing decorations for the kids! Couldn't resist posting it even though it isn't really from our Christmas Day!
