Fall Catch-up

Our Birthday Boy - big 6 now!

It is officially Fall in Georgia - the wettest on record for a long time. We had flash flood warnings today again. In typical Georgia fashion, October is a bit in two minds at to whether it wants to give way to Fall or remain in the the summer-style. One day we will be in the high 80's and humid (back to shorts and t-shirts) and then the next there is a nice, crisp chill in the air, and we are left in the mood for sweatshirts, football and chili!

Not really sure how to catch you up, but let's start with the big stuff. We celebrated Ethan's 6th birthday on October 4th. We met family at The Olde Blind Dog Pub in Roswell (highly recommend!) for lunch - got a lot of great photos there! Then we headed to The Chattahoochee Nature Center for Ethan's party with is kindergarten class from Addison.

Life has just been hectic lately...what else is new? :) I am helping plan the Veterans Day breakfast for the PTA...it is very near and dear to me that we express our heartfelt gratitude for their service to our country. Also keeping busy with planning, shopping for and making really healthy meals for my family. It is amazing how much time that can take up...that coupled with the time at the gym - it's a real part-time job!

We have our anniversary coming up as well as David's birthday. And we are hosting a tailgate party for the UGA vs Florida game even though I am really second guessing the wisdom of that now that Georgia is not performing at the expected level. It was really an omen when David's birthday fell on a Saturday, and it happened to be a bye week for us. We plan to go to dinner to celebrate our anniversary that evening as well.

Ethan is really enjoying his chess and picking it up quite well. Ryan enjoys his PlayBall as well. Once the weather turns cold, we may start looking into martial arts for them (or something physical and indoors for the winter). Ryan is still doing his speech therapy and is improving bit by bit. We will likely have his eye tubes removed sometime in November, but he has an eye exam later this week so we will know more then.

I am sure there is more, but my brain is just done for the day....must - go - to - bed - now...promise to not keep you waiting so long for the next post. I know you need your DARE fix :)
