Ryan's Soccer

Ryan LOVED playing soccer. He ran all up and down and tried so hard. He is just so cute...his shirt looks like a dress and between his shin guards and long shirt, you can't see any of his legs. He is the youngest (the cut off is July 31st and Ry's b-day is July 21st) and by far the shortest - small but mighty! He had a really good attitude as well. I think he will continue to love it. David is going to be assistant coach this time around.

We were very excited to watch the Georgia game. It was a late game (kick-off at 7:45pm), so we had a small 'backyard tailgate' party. Then the game started and our hearts sank. The half time score was 31-0! We were ranked #3 and Bama #8! We came back a bit in the 2nd half, but it wasn't good enough. So, just like that, our chance at a National Championship year that was well within our reach, is now all but gone! Tragic.

Nothing much else to report from the weekend. We didn't even leave the house today. It was so nice out, so the boys spent tons of time outside playing. We caught up on laundry and chores around the house, and David watched football and golf. We have a busy week, but David is in town, so that is a consolation prize. Tomorrow, the boys get out of school at 12. We are hosting our dinner tomorrow night, and I am pretty excited....spent a big part of today cooking the desserts (honey cake and apple blackberry crisp) and prepping other parts of the meal.
