Tough Week

It has been one tough, long week - for mom and for all of us.

It has been a REAL blessing to have Fran at home with mom and dad....and I know that she will really be glad that she was there for mom too. I finally don't worry (so much at least) about dad.

Mom's bleeding was stabalized so to speak by mid-week. It comes and goes but seems very much improved and the pain has all but stopped by today. She continues to eat and drink less every day and becomes weaker and weaker, and those two things coupled with the blood loss just has her sleepy and sleeping all the time.

She is clearly in a downward spiral and took another step away from us yesterday (Thursday). She became too weak to use a straw and we began to give her sips with a dropper/syringe.
