While we were at our 'Cape Town home' as Ethan called it, he affectionately dubbed our real home his 'Three and Three and Two Three home" (our address - and by the way, he memorized our phone number while away as well). When we walked into our house on Friday after some LONG flights, Ethan said while playing with all his toys, "I am so happy to be back to our and Three and Two Three home!
We got back early Friday morning - at 7:30am and after clearing Immigration, security and Customs - we picked up our plentitude of bags and waited for my parents to fetch us....was it ever great to be home....the boys did better on the return flight than the initial flight - they both slept more (thanks to some sleepy juice)...Ethan was GREAT - he slept for a good 5-6 hours (of the more than 24 hour journey) and when awake was easily entertained with toys and books - which was good because early into the trip our DVD player batteries died. Ryan did well too, but had his moments - he didn't sleep as much and being a typical 2-year-old, doesn't like to sit still for long!
I have tons of stories and photos for you all. I have uploaded the photos to my computer and working on getting them online. Here is a nice family photo of us at the ocean with Sea Point in the background.
