Our One Weekend

This is our one full weekend between D's end of classes and his Int'l trip...and it could not have been more full, fun, or hectic. Started Friday with David working from home...and the boys and I working at the Y. Ryan fell off a new play set in the nursery and got a small head injury - for better or worse I am 'experienced' now when it comes to head injuries and know all the signs...because I would have flipped out if it was our first. He cried so hard that he stopped breathing and went limp a bit....he turns really white and almost blue as he goes limp in my arms for seconds (feels like minutes)...then he comes back but is pale and out of it and crying uncontrollably for a while...and then vomits...the whole thing is VERY scary and upsetting...but I know he is ok because he is awake, alert, and pupils are equal and reactive.

Anyway, we get home from the Y - had lunch with daddy (we were suppose to visit Tracy, Kyle and Colin to finally meet baby Colin, but had to cancel just in case with Ryan)...then we all laid down to nap.. got up just in time to shower and pack...David and I had dinner and hotel reservations and the boys were in for a night of fun at Cotswold Manor.

We head out for our respective evenings....dinner was so good, and we highly recommend Seasons 52 to anyone out on an expensive date night...the Marriott Marquis was nice - we were on the 35th floor and we had a GREAT view of downtown including Turner Field. Slept ok...picked up the boys the next morning (D's parents and grandparents were off to Asheville). The boys had a great time! We spent some time together during the day, and that night LeAnne came to babysit them while David and I joined Alex and Karine for dinner at VG Bistro which was fabulous (the company and the food)...we had a three hour long dinner without even realizing it...then home and to bed. Sunday...woke up and hit the ground running...the Easter bunny had brought the boys gifts and snacks...(see photos) and we headed to Mawmaw's and Pawpaws for Easter lunch and then straight to a birthday party at the bowling alley (Ryan napped in the car). The party was Kosher for Passover and very nice...although a bit of an accident...

Within moments of arriving, Ethan wanted to bowl (they had gutter guards in place)...so, he was bowling, and Ryan ran past him and David after the ball...he wiped out and bumped his head hard, but David went after him and wiped out and fell on his back and a little on Ryan as well...Ryan was ok after he did his crying and turning white, etc all over again....two head injuries in one weekend!

We came home exhausted but with lots of fun, family time, couple time and more crammed into two and a half days!
