We had a wonderful weekend (busy but wonderful)...I had begun to wonder if life would ever be 'normal' again - heck, I had fogotten what 'normal' felt like....but this past weekend, we had such great, quality time with David - we got spoiled a bit.
It started on Thursday night, when David and I dropped the boys off for the evening with Grandy and Oupa and had a date night at Chops with Wy and Lance (Wy is looking so pregnant!)...and then on Friday, we had a nice family dinner at home....then Saturday, we spent the day at the Y and and then running errands - going to BJs and Home Depot and had the Whitehurst family over for dinner; we grilled out. Then on Sunday, we went to the Y again, and hosted some of David's classmates and their families for another BBQ...it was so nice to be social again as a family and to just have some of daddy's unstressed time. I am recharging and preparing for term 3, the toughest, busiest, deepest, darkest term heading into winter and all the holidays, and football season...will be tough!
The boys, oh the boys....Ryan is 'talking' already...saying mama, dada, bye bye, go go, woof wooff....that's right, Ethan will do the dawg chant "gooooooo dawgs, sic em, woof woof woof woof..." and Ryan will do the woof woof part with him! He also had two new top teeth and getting two new bottom ones. He picks up on all of Ethan's behaviors, dancing, running, talking on the phone, using the remote, using cars, etc. They play together so well most of the time.
Ethan is enjoying school so much. We can't believe that he will be 3 in just over a month...trying to figure out his party.
This week, David is in Miami (actually left this am to beat Ernesto's arrival)...and is now in Raleigh until Thursday night. Yesterday, the boys and I worked at the Y in the morning and again in the afternoon and not much else in between, today, we did a trial class at the MyGym (the boys loved it!) and then went to the Y. My mom came over after lunch and is spending the night with us. My dad and brother also came by for a visit. Tomorrow, working at the Y and Ethan has school and then Grandy and Oupa visit for dinner...then Thursday, we have another trial class at Gymboree (I am scoping out places for E's birthday party)....then Friday, E had school again, and Ryan and I have a lunch date with a mom from the Y....and then Uncle Alan and Andrew will be here!!!! We will have dinner at Grandy and Oupa's house on Friday and then will grill out at our house on Saturday. Oh, and the first UGA game of the season is Saturday (Western Kentucky)...so exciting!
Paige is visiting from CO the following weekend...the weekend of Wy's shower...and the first BIG UGA game (South Carolina)...then the following weekend is the girl's retreat weekend...busy month.
