Holiday Fun

What a fun, family weekend we have had!  David's company hosted a FREE event on Friday evening (4-6pm), The Genentech Family HoHo complete with a full-sized carousel, bounce house, DJ, photo stations, face painting, balloon station and all the carnival-style food you could eat (cotton candy, hot dogs, corn dogs, popcorn, sno cones, ice creams, and an open bar with beer, wine and soft drinks!!)  WOW!  It was AMAZING!  One of the nice perks of working for such a big company!

Saturday, our gym hosted a family holiday party complete with SANTA, train rides, cotton candy, face painting, inflatables, hot chocolate and cookies, balloons and more!  We invited our friends to join us (Ethan's best friend Conner and his family).  Fun was had by all!!  Our neighbors met us there - Sean is also in Ethan's class!

After the party, we went on a quest for a tree!  It was a long and arduous journey, so I will spare you the details, but by the end of the day Saturday, we had a live tree and stand in our family room....when we realized we didn't move any lights (donated them!).  So, our evening of trimming the tree had to wait until Sunday!  Tis the season to roll with the punches!

We have also been working on a family project for Ryan's class for a couple of weeks now - but most of the work was completed today.  I wanted to share the finished result with you because we are all pretty proud of it! It is a family crest with each of 4 quadrants representing something, FAMILY, HERITAGE, TRADITIONS and LIKES.

  We only have one week of school left before a long winter break....and Friday is an early release day.  Lots of stuff going on at school this week too....I am volunteering in the library twice, cooking for the teacher luncheon on Wednesday, helping with both boys' parties on Friday, and getting Ryan's teacher's gift ready (I'm room mom).  Got to plan everything just right to fit it all in along with all my regular activities AND final holiday shopping and wrapping!
