Thanksgiving Break

We had a great Thanksgiving break - at least overall!  The boys had the full week out of school.  We went to see a movie at The Picture Show on Monday; we saw Alpha and Omega.  It was $6 for our tickets and popcorn!!!  On Tuesday, we played for hours at Monkey Joes.  We also did a bit of cooking for our Thursday feast.

Wednesday, we had a visit from Amy, Stephen, Brandon, Chris and dad.  Then we met Granny and Oupa and the newly arriven Neil and Stacie for dinner.  Neil and Stacy came home with us and the boys went to sleep over at G&O's so that we could all run the next morning.  N, S and D had the Gobble Jog, and Kristy and I did our own 10K at the high school track.  Then onto my 'super bowl' AKA Thanksgiving dinner!  Had one big table for everyone which was so nice!  It was a great meal and shared with a big group - so THANKFUL that we had most of the family in town this year (missed Matt and Alyssa and my mom of course!)
 
Friday, Neil, Stacie, David, the boys and I went up to Athens for the day.  Spent some time downtown (ate at the Grill), on campus and around campus.  It was the first time we have gone up and spent so much time in the car driving around campus (the weather wasn't great and the campus was deserted)...it just made me feel sad really...so much has changed that it didn't feel like 'home' anymore.  It was still fun and still wish we could have gone up for the game - maybe next year!

Friday night, we had dinner at A&A's.  Saturday, Ethan wasn't feeling well, so he and I stayed home while the rest of the family met for lunch at Taco Mac.  Everyone came to our house later for dinner and the UGA game (GO DAWGS!). Sunday, we had our family Hanukkah gift exchange (a few days early as Hanukkah begins Wednesday).  It was lots of fun, but Ethan and Ryan both got Harry Potter glasses and wands - by far their favorite...though Ethan was still sick and didn't enjoy the day  much at all.  Hopefully he will perk up soon!

Back to normal this week - though Ethan is out of school sick today and maybe tomorrow.  Had to cancel my last physical therapy session today and reschedule my long over due highlights apt for tomorrow - oh well!  Only 3 weeks left before the long Winter Break and our Staycation.  Busy week with our HOA meeting and a PTA meeting and Ryan's teacher's birthday on Friday (got to take in goodies and flowers, etc.)  Not to mention all the holiday shopping and wrapping that I still need to do!!  Oh well, it will all get done - or if not, it wasn't so important to begin with!
