AWESOME Week

There are a million reasons why this week is AWESOME!!!  I'll just name a few:

1) The weather is heavenly - a tad on the warm side for this time of year, but ideal nonetheless.  Just wish that Kristy and I were still doing our running program to enjoy it all.  The double bonus is that most of the mosquitoes and flies are gone for the season, so you can actually enjoy the great outdoors - and the nights are still a bit crisp and a nice fire in the firepit is called for!

2) David is home and that makes everything better and easier!  Enough said!

3) Chris's birthday is today (the 20th) - happy b-day Chris!!

4) Our Anniversary is tomorrow (the 21st) - 9 years and counting!

5) David's birthday is this Sunday (the 24th)

6) I have seen two good movies and gotten some REALLY good workouts on the elliptical this week (Prince of Persia and Whip It - as roller derby movie) and the movies were both FREE from the library!

7) We got to see Stephen tonight.  Amy, Stephen, Brandon, my dad and Chris came over for birthday dinner and yummy cupcakes to celebrate.  He is 5 months old now and so cute!

8) I start physical therapy for my shoulder tomorrow and am *hopefully* solidly on the road to a full recovery!

9) We go to the corn maize for the first time ever on Friday night - have been waiting on the boys to be old enough to enjoy it, and we think they will LOVE it.  On top of that, we got a GREAT Groupon deal for it!  We are also taking part in their hay ride and bonfire and having dinner there!!  Can't wait!

10) Ethan and Ryan's conferences were both AWESOME!  Their teachers had nothing but glowing things to say about both boys, and they are both on level or above on EVERYTHING!

11) Ethan was a rock star at his 2 hour dentist appointment on Tuesday - he had 3 little fillings, 4 sealants on his molars and an orthodontist work up (impressions, x-rays, measurements, etc).  He went back for it all on his own and didn't cry and was so brave!!  He earned a milkshake and the right to pick dinner anywhere he wanted...he chose hibachi (Shogun) which is too much for a week night, so we are going there Saturday.

A couple of things to share that Ethan said today:  we were using our little shark vac to clean up around the table before we had guests over.  Ethan was using it (it is just the right size for him to help out!) and he said that he wanted to get the floor clean and sparkly, just like my eyes :)  Little charmer!

He also told me after school today that he and a couple of his buddies at school have a 'guys day out' planned for Saturday.  Apparently, the 3 of them made plans to see a movie and get dinner....and he didn't even 'ask', he just told me about it.  Not sure about the parents of the others, but we already have plans, and I am SO NOT READY for him to start managing his own social calendar!!!  He can wait until college for that, thank you very much!  Just love how he called it 'guys day out'...
