Family Weekend

Seems this was the weekend when everything aligned. Gerald and Rene (Mailyn's parents, David's granparent) have been in town from South Africa for a couple of weeks, Marilyn's birthday is TODAY *HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANNY* AND Neil and Stacie came to town for a weekend visit which is the first time most of us have seen them since their wedding last fall!!! It all means that it was a packed but fun weekend with family.

Starting on Friday night with a fab dinner at A&A's house where we all stayed up late to greet Satcie and Neil. Then Saturday, we met for lunch in Sandy Springs...are we ever a big group at a restaurant. Then the siblings, David, Neil, Alan and Lynne went to visit their Gran (Benjy's mom) who suffers from severe dementia. While Stacie, Andrew and I decided to go for a Starbucks and a pedicure (Andrew's first - but not last!), and the boys hung out with their grandparents and GREATgrandparents. We all came back together at Cotswold for a tea, where we were joined by David's aunts, uncle and cousins and kids (there were 9 kids there and would have been 10 if Alyssa wan't sick with an ear infection and pink eye). After that, we all headed up to Roswell for dinner at Lynne and Matt's. What a day!

Sunday (today), we had a birthday brunch (in the private party room at Brio) for David's mom (and dad too since his b-day was last week while we were out of town). The food was GREAT. Afterward, we posed for a famlily photo. Oh, and our gift to them, framed prints of the 3 grandkids together - here it is:

AND, after brunch, Ryan had his first T-ball game! He is on the Braves, and loves playing ball so much!!!

Of course, with all the golf that is on this weekend, Ethan is determined to play golf now - and be on TV! I'm ok with that! There one was a time when I would hope he would look up to Tiger for inspiration, but not so much anymore :(
