Ethan has been participating in the Kids Chess program at school since the beginning of the school year and will continue until the end as well. He has improved so much, and it just blows my mind that he can actually play a chess match at age 6! They do a mid-year trophy ceremony, and Ethan got a trophy (January 20th). He was so proud!
My precious niece and the boys beloved cousin, Alyssa, celebrated her first birthday on 2/6 (actual day was 2/5). Here is a cute shot of the birthday girl.

Now onto the snow we had this past Friday the 12th. These photos are all from the following day...Ryan and Ethan showing off a snow ball they made
We all worked very hard to make a huge snow 'man' that ended up a snow teddy bear...we get points for originality right? We were going for Mickey (with the ears), but we definitely got a gangsta bear...thus the chain necklace in one photo :) Here are David and Ryan giving him eyes (grapes) and a nose (carrot)

It was all fun and games outside, but we built the snow bear just outside our window so that we could keep an eye on him from inside....but, once we were inside...we kept catching glimpses of him from everywhere...it was REALLY creapy as if he were a peeping tom outside our window.
